Trial lesson

Every new student can book 1 free trial lesson. A trial lesson takes 25 minutes. During this time, we will discuss your child’s learning needs; I will demonstrate the materials and we will talk about a plan of approach.

What do I need to do after I schedule a trial lesson?

You will receive a confirmation email with an access link to Zoom. Click on this link a couple of minutes before the lesson starts. Make sure you have Zoom downloaded on your computer, tablet or phone.

Can I cancel/reschedule my trial?

It’s possible to cancel or reschedule your trial lesson up to 24 hours before the lesson starts.

Are your lessons suitable for all ages?

My lessons are suitable for children (3+) and teenagers.

How long is a full lesson?

Each full lesson is 25 minutes.

What video calling software is used for the lessons?

Zoom is my default software, but it is also possible to use Skype if you prefer this over Zoom. You can download Zoom here and Skype here.

Do I have to buy any lesson materials?

No, I will share my materials with you for free.

I use ESL Kidsstuff and ESL Teenstuff.

BUY AND BOOK LESSONS

How do I Buy a Lesson (Package)?

Option 1

You can buy your lesson(s) directly on the homepage of my website. When you click on the button: Buy your Package under ‘Lesson Packages ‘, it will redirect you to my payment page. After you finish payment, you’ll receive an email including your package code and a link to my scheduling site.

You can also download the Client Scheduling App. Scan the QR code below.

When you click on TutorUkABC, you will see the different packages I offer. After you purchase the package of your choice, you will get access to my calendar to schedule your appointment(s).

How do I Schedule my Lesson(s)?

Option 1

You can schedule your lesson(s) on my Homepage or on the Lessons and Bookings page. Click on the link: Schedule Appointment, and it will redirect you to my personal calendar run by Squarespace Scheduling. If you already purchased lessons, you have to use your package code when booking your appointments.

You can download the Client Scheduling App (Squarespace Scheduling). Scan the QR code below.

How do I enter the classroom for my lesson?

To enter the classroom, you will find a unique link to Zoom in your appointment details. You can find this link in your scheduled appointment

Can I reserve a specific time/day?

You can plan your appointments 6 months in advance. Depending on the size of your lesson package, you can plan all your appointments at once. Choose the option ‘Recurring‘ for this.

Where can I find my Appointments?

If you’ve used the ‘add to calendar’ option after booking, you can find your lessons in your Google/Outlook/iCal calendar, or you can see/manage your appointments in the Client Scheduling App. You’ll find the QR code under ‘How do I schedule my lessons?

Can I Cancel/Reschedule a lesson?

Yes, up to 24 hours before the lesson starts, you can cancel/reschedule it for free. It is not possible to cancel/reschedule your lessons within 24 hours

How do I Cancel/Reschedule an appointment?

You have a few options:

Option 1

Go to the Confirmation email you received after booking your lesson(s). Click on the View, Reschedule or Cancel button in the email. This will take you to the Rescheduling/Cancellation page.

Option 2

If you use the ‘add to calendar’ option after booking, you can go to the lesson in your Google/Outlook/iCal calendar. Click on it and open the link in your browser to access the Rescheduling/Cancellation page.

Option 3: Reschedule/cancel your appointments in the Client Scheduling App.

Why can’t I cancel/reschedule within 24 hours?

Of course, I’m understanding of everyone’s personal situation, but I wouldn’t be able to find a new student within this time. If you still have to cancel, you will lose this lesson credit.

PRICING, PAYMENT AND REFUNDS

How much do lessons cost?

5 Lessons → €75 

10 Lessons → €140

20 Lessons → €260

40 Lessons → €480

80 Lessons → €880

160 Lessons → €1600

Which payment methods do you accept?

I accept the following debit/credit cards:

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB and Union Pay. My payment system is completely secure and run through Stripe. 

Can I pay in my own currency?

At this moment, it is only possible to pay in euros. Your bank might charge a small fee or apply a slightly different exchange rate for international payments.

Is there a time limit on Lesson Packages?

You will get 12 months to use your lesson credits for the smaller packages (5, 10, 20 and 40) and 24 months for the larger packages (80 and 160).

What is your Refund Policy?

You can get a refund on your remaining balance if you contact me within 30 days after purchase. Please note that the payment processing fees will not be returned by my payment provider, Stripe, due to costs incurred.

This fee is 1,4% + €0.25 for European cards (+1,1% for British cards), and 2,9% + €0.25 for international cards.
